จากข่าวที่แล้วที่แฮกเกอร์ที่มีชื่อว่า pod2g ได้ปล่อยวิดีโอโชว์การ untethered jailbreak ไปนั้นตอนนี้ pod2g ก็ได้ปล่อยให้ดาวน์โหลด ตัว Jailbreak untethered redsn0w เวอร์ชัน 0.9.10b1 สำหรับ iOS 5.0.1 ไปเรียบร้อยแล้ว ซึ่งก็ทำให้สามารถเปิด-ปิด อุปกรณ์ iOS 5.0.1 ที่ jailbreak มาแล้วโดยไม่ต้องอาศัยคอมพิวเตอร์

RedSn0w development team has released version. 0.8 Out, which in this version will be able to Jail break either. Iphone 2G ,Iphone 3G ,Iphone 3GS and Ipod Touch 2G.
